In 2009, Porsche released the second generation 997. The update was mild – a testament to the engineering carried out on the first version – with upgrades limited to a touchscreen display, facelifted interior architecture, LED lights and a DFI engine with associated reliability and power gains.
CSR versions offer a sophisticated drive via the CSR tuned KW DDC suspension kit with front axle lift, 19inch Vorsteiner flow formed alloy wheels and the tried and tested CSR geometry. A CSR limited slip differential and the ultra-responsive CSR lightweight flywheel and clutch is fitted. The combination of these modifications and a CSR exhaust system provides the soundtrack to match the driving experience.
As is the case with all CSRs, the 997 Gen2 model can be tailored and enhanced to suit driving style and demands but without eradicating the 997s core brilliance.
